Primary Care Exhibition 2008 in Birmingham
"We're on a mission to tell you about our condition,
at the NEC Birmingham exhibition.

After two days at the NEC we left Birmingham on such a high. Having spoken to hundreds of GPs, midwives, school nurses, physiotherapists, teachers and other medical professionals about RGA, you could count on one hand the people that did NOT know a person of restricted growth, whether it was professionally or in their personal life.
The interest in our Association was almost unbelievable!
As people queued at our RGA stand eager for information, we dished out leaflets, mugs, badges and ribbons, bouncing off the positive vibes that surrounded us.
"We had no idea your Association existed" was a common comment.
People even asked for carrier bags to carry all their new information. We couldn't give out leaflets quick enough. At one point we even ran out! Everyone found the Association inspiring and were nothing but polite to us, so much so they were keen to see us there next year.
It's so refreshing to know that in the future universities, hospitals, schools and GP surgeries will be displaying out information, all thanks to this Exhibition.
If people didn't leave feeling educated about restricted growth at least they left modelling a little green ribbon!
