 Fashion Tips   

Some Fashion Suggestions for smaller women.

Trousers
1. Look for straight leg trousers with a hemline that almost touches the ground
2. Wear matching high heels gives a slimming effect
3. Front creases in trousers give the effect of long legs
4. Match your colours for an elongated look
5. Be careful with cuffs and wide leg trousers as these give a widening effect
6. A natural waist will give an elongated leg length
7. Avoid wide belts that can give a shortening effect

Skirts

1. Pencil straight skirts that are tapered to hug your figure
2. Side slits add a long length effect
3. Short length should lie near your knees or higher
4. Longer lengths should lie at ankle level and be straight
5. Buttons and piping down the front add a flattering vertical line
6. Match your tights and shoes to your skirt for a lengthening effect
7. Tights, boots and shoes should match in colour to your skirt

Jackets and Coats

1. Shorter, cropped style jackets that rest on your waistline
2. Single breasted jackets with only one or two buttons
3. Tapered jackets with narrow
4. Avoid jackets and coats with too much detail like buttons, piping and large print patterns
5. Coats that taper and rest on or above the knees
6. High belted coats with high necklines

Tops and Blouses

1. Fitted and semi-fitted styles
2. Tops should be neither too tight or too baggy
3. V-neck and scoop neckline blouses and tops give an elongated look
4. Plain or vertical stripes for a slimming effect
5. Make sure the top lies on your shoulder and is not too wide
6. Match tops and blouses to your lower item of clothing in colour
7. Avoid bulky jewelry as this can over power your outfit

Dresses

1. Knee length dresses will give the effect of longer legs
2. Wrap dresses and shirtdress with a tapered waist line
3. Plain or vertical stripes with not too much detail
4. Tights, boots and shoes that match in colour to your dress
5. Avoid heavy bulky clothing
